Summary0016875: Reset Mining achievements and quests back to before I ever picked up mining to begin with please!
DescriptionMy mining profession is bugged, because when I got the quest / "Torn Journal", my quest log was full. So, I could not progress further into my mining quests for Leystone. My Felslate is fine, but I can't gain higher ranks of Leystone deposits/seams, and I can't even learn "Living Leystone". No matter how many times I mine Leystone. I've done it over 200 times at least. Just completely reset my mining profession, as if I never even picked it up. Reset all my achievements of mining, and reset all of my mining quests, I want to start from scratch again.
Steps To ReproduceJust completely reset all my mining quests for Legion mining, AND reset all my achievements for Legion mining. I don't even want to be able to re-learn them from that 1,000g "Forgotten Techniques of the Broken Isles" book! RESET MY MINING PLEASE! FROM SCRATCH! I've dropped the profession. However it says I've still done some of the quests, at the bug NPC vendor if I enter the quest codes. I want to scrap my mining PLEASE!!!! But, I want to keep blacksmithing. I assure you, this is NOT an attempt to hack someone else's character. This is my own character. The character is named "Crystlmethod", a Human Female (Alliance) in Extremely Wicked (guild). If you can do this, thank you!
Additional InformationIn the picture, in that bag, you can see I have a LOT more Felslate mined than Leystone. That's because I've made gear with Leystone, and also because I never actually ranked up with Leystone mining. Leystone is still at rank 1 this entire time, while Felslate mining has been rank 3 this whole time. My mining is bugged because I think my quest log was full when I was mining and I couldn't accept the quest for "Torn Journal Page". I've been on wowhead all day looking up these mining quests and the prerequisites. Every time I mined Leystone Deposit, I got an error in red that said "You can't do that yet", which I never understood. Just please reset it. I've dropped all my quests for a clean slate. To hell with Legion questing until my Mining and Blacksmithing are maxxed.

Many words, even more emotions.
Bug tracker is where developers receive information about bugs discovered by players. And they report that the bug has been confirmed, work has begun on its elimination. Sometimes developers or other players can suggest temporary workarounds for a bug.
server forum, game administration on the forum and special topics on the forum - this is the place where the GM can accept a request from the player to interfere with his gameplay. And if it is in principle possible, such changes will be made (cancellation of quests, achievements, return or issue of game items).

Subtotal
- on the bug tracker, you could be given hints in a confusing situation with quests and items in the mining profession chain. Employees have no right to interfere with the game process.
- on the forum (or in simple cases - in-game support), the GM can interfere with the gameplay and somehow fulfill your wish.

In my opinion, it would be more correct to independently figure out the sequence of obtaining starter items for quests for the stars of the profession, with problems of obtaining items or issuing already completed quests, in-game support specialists or GM on the forum, through a special topic, can (should) help.
If the ultimate goal is to get a correctly and maximally developed profession on a character, this is what we should strive for, smoothing corners and overcoming problems and limitations.

But it should be borne in mind that, for example, when receiving an item-starter, there is an element of randomness (if it falls out - it does not fall out), each stage of one of the chains of development of ore mining skills starts when all three quest-starters of the previous level are handed over. If you have "three stars" starter items in your bag, you will not be able to turn them in until you complete the intermediate quests and turn in all the items for 1 and 2 stars. This is to some extent a bug that items for major stars fall simultaneously with items for minor stars and common ore. But this does not have much effect, just the items will lie in the bags until the moment when they are really needed.

Regarding the red inscription (not yet possible) - two years, as I reported the bug, the reason for the appearance of the inscription was not announced to me, checks on other characters of the account and on new characters of the new account showed the presence of a bug, and showed that the inscription does not affect the process mining ore, getting an item starter and developing a profession. I decided to forget about this bug.

A tip in case you want to do everything according to the rules.
legion mining - improving the profession by completing the quest chain. Three types of resources: Leystone Ore, Felslate Ore, Infernal Brimstone.
Brimstone only from world quests, quests for improvement are also a separate independent chain.
Leystone and Felslate - obtained from three types of nodes - regular nodes, seam and living stone. That is, the level "one star" for each resource is three items of the starter's quest. The "two stars" level is three more items. We handed over all three quests from the item and received a chain of ordinary quests, at the end of which skills will be improved. (If available) - passed items of the next level - got another quest chain.
These are separate and independent quest chains for Leystone and Felslate, and can be completed separately at different times.

In conclusion, I can say that my first miner did not receive an item with a 1-star Leystone deposit in three years of play. During this time, a huge amount of ore of various types was mined, blacksmithing, jewelry, engineering and other professions were completely pumped. On my main account, I have 4 miners with skill 800, which mine different types of ore. For newer characters, the quest for 1 power star has been received and completed. I don't see any difference in the amount of ore mined between the old and new characters. To be honest, lately I have not been involved in the extraction of resources in the world at all, 14 characters of the maximum level in the background receive a significant amount of the blood of Sargeras and Primal Sargerite in order to buy resources for crafting from sellers.

Did you read my message? Forget about everything I wrote and do what you need to do.

Good day!
First, that was a bad idea to attach login and password to this topic. I have deleted this, dont do this again.
Second, the only way to continue mining questline for you is to use https://www.wowhead.com/item=139489 . This book works, I've checked this.
Third, questitems drop chance is pretty hign, you can get them fast just by farming ore

@Karmadon I rewrote this questline two or three month ago, so it must work correctly. Drop chances was rised too.
